Who actually deserves the "best web designing company in world" title right now?

I'm putting together a shortlist of potential web design partners for a major international project, and I want to make sure we're considering the true global leaders. The problem is, every agency claims to be the best, and it's impossible to separate genuine excellence from good marketing. I'm looking for firms with proven global experience, exceptional creative work, and the ability to handle complex, large-scale projects. Does anyone have real experience with agencies that genuinely deserve to be called world-class? I'd love honest recommendations based on actual work, not just reputation.

I researched this extensively last year and found a comprehensive guide that profiles the leading global firms with all the practical details you need to make an informed decision. It covers ten agencies, from Clay (San Francisco tech leader with clients like Slack and Amazon) to AKQA (3,000+ people globally with Coca-Cola and Nike) to DEPT (4,000+ specialists working with Netflix and Google). What I found most helpful was the breakdown of each agency's starting prices, team size, and what they're actually best at. The section on best web designing company in world helped me understand that "best" means different things depending on your needs – whether you need enterprise scale, startup agility, or specialized creative vision. It also includes practical advice on how to evaluate partners and what questions to ask during initial calls. Saved me from making assumptions based on marketing hype.
